Ask Our Staff - Andrea Rector

Andrea Rector is a Senior Associate at Gallun Snow. Not only is she a project manager but she is also our BIM manager. Read more below to learn about what Andrea loves to do!

1. What is your favorite project you have worked on at Gallun Snow?

I was fortunate to be able to work on the Carla Madison Recreation Center, a new facility that opened in 2018 serving the central Denver area, which previously lacked a rec center. Not only was this project incredibly fun to design with the great team at Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture, it was also meaningful to be a small part of improving my own community. I love driving by the building and seeing the moving LED light installation that is linked to people exercising inside.

2. What is your favorite task to do in your job?

I’m a big Revit nerd. I love helping people when they encounter a Revit problem and brainstorming ways we can make our template more efficient and our drawings more clear. With how quickly technology changes, there is always something new to learn or to improve upon.

3. What strength do you bring to your project teams?

I have a good eye for detail and enjoy doing Quality Control reviews. Finding those contradictions and omissions in the drawing set early in the process is so critical to avoiding wasted time and major headaches in the field.
