We’ve been asking ourselves, how will design be impacted by COVID-19 and which design modifications will stick around? Social distancing has become a high priority in public spaces such as registration desks, elevators, and waiting areas. While it’s easy to incorporate acrylic screens into a new build construction project, it’s less easy to do so at an existing facility. A design solution we are excited about is the use of decorative privacy screens by Yellow Goat. Their vast library of imagery allows users to detail many options, from built in screens at waiting areas to create separation, to freestanding screens placed at registration lines. These screens are a nice way to incorporate art and encourage social distancing.
