The B-West Concourse Expansion at Denver International Airport symbolizes a gateway to the Rocky Mountain region. The project includes 3 levels, 4 new gates for United Airlines, 6 holdrooms, and additional support spaces. The design is a modern twist on the ‘mountain’ aesthetic featuring the warmth of the reclaimed wood in the millwork walls and furniture which balances the clean lines and crisp white and gray neutrals of the interior finishes. Strategic color placement helps passengers navigate the concourse. Visual cues like cobalt-blue quartz walls at restroom entrances and branded violet-purple lounge furniture helps to distinguish key areas. Since DEN offers world-class amenities like integrated power in the furniture, pet relief areas, family-friendly restrooms and nursing rooms, the airport was recently voted USA Today’s Best Large Airport in America 2021.
